We support sustainable farming practices, promote cultural diversity, and offer the community access to healthy, fresh foods while empowering local farmers, artisans, and food producers. Through our dynamic market, we aim to strengthen connections, educate, and inspire a more resilient and interconnected community, food culture, and city.

Our Story

Global Gardens & Global Lounge

The West Bench Farmers Market was founded in 2025
born from an idea put forward by two local nonprofits, Global Lounge and Global Gardens.

With overlapping missions, the organizations believed
Boise was ready for a new farmers market — one with an international flair — located in the West Bench neighborhood. As a result, Global Gardens applied for and received a USDA grant to help launch the market, with Global Lounge providing support and entertainment.

The market's primary goal is to provide a fresh food resource to a diverse community while creating economic opportunities for small-scale producers of ethnic goods
and produce.

Now entering year two, The West Bench Farmers Market is excited to move half a mile north to Spaulding Ranch,
where opportunities to grow are bountiful. Spaulding Ranch is a dynamic community gathering space that highlights urban agriculture and is the first of its kind including a historic home and barn, fruit trees and community gardens.
